An international conference in Dubai discusses the latest developments in 'family medicine'

the sessions of the Sixth Conference of the Emirates Division of Family Medicine 2023 began in Dubai, which is the largest annual event for family medicine in the Gulf countries and the Middle East.
The conference is organized by the Emirates Division of Family Medicine at the Emirates Medical Association, and its sessions will continue until March 19, with the participation of doctors and officials of the ministries of health and health authorities in the Emirates, the Gulf countries and the Arab region, in addition to doctors from Europe and the United States of America.
The head of the Emirates Division of Family Medicine, Dr. Wadi’a Al-Sharif, said that the conference is one of the most important events in the field of family medicine in the region, as it attracts a large number of doctors and health care professionals from different parts of the region, to exchange experiences and enhance scientific knowledge in the field of primary health care and to raise the level of Medical services provided to patients.
She indicated that family medicine is the focus of attention from health institutions, due to the support it provides in both aspects of prevention and treatment.
And she continued, “The conference aims to bring the latest scientific insights and research in the field of healthcare and provide the best experts with high scientific competence in the field of family medicine from around the region and the world.”
She stated that the scientific program is an important platform for all doctors in the region and the Middle East, with its lectures, discussions, dissertations and scientific papers. She added: «The conference has achieved tangible success since 2018, and an annual increase in the number of attendees, starting from 850 participants in the conference in its first session, until it reached more than 3,870 last year, and an increase in the number of approved educational hours for health care workers until it reached 51 accredited educational hours. ».
